Located on the bustling Rembrandtplein in the heart of Amsterdam, Kitchen & Bar Van Rijn is known as a leading, unique and successful hospitality business. At Kitchen & Bar Van Rijn guests can enjoy lunch, dinner and drinks. Upon entering this restaurant, you are immersed in a special restaurant experience inspired by the art of Rembrandt van Rijn. Job requirements

  • MBO 4 / HBO work and thinking level

  • In possession of relevant certificates and/or diplomas (at least in possession of a valid BHV and Social Hygiene).

  • At least 2 years working experience as a manager in a similar working environment (hospitality company).

  • Full time availability.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Enthusiastic and able to enthuse.

  • Good command of Dutch and / or English in word and writing.

  • Preferably living in Amsterdam or nearby.

What will you do?

  • Lead and motivate the employees.

  • You are noticeably present and busy training and instructing your team.

  • Show responsibility for the realization and achievement of objectives in terms of service, price/quality ratio and turnover.

  • Looking after all restaurant resources, products, supplies and equipment.

  • The manager will be responsible for all operational, quality and administrative tasks.

  • Correcting problems, receiving and handling guest inquiries/complaints.

  • Overseeing and complying with safety, Occupational Health and Safety, HACCP and house rules.
